Benefits for members
The network gives investigators a chance to participate in and influence the development of children's medicinal treatment by giving them opportunities to conduct and participate in pediatric clinical trials. The network aims to increase and enhance centralized recruiting for trials and direct new research funding to Finland.
FINPEDMED organizes updating training for its members at special rates. The network also provides its members with a regular e-bulletin with current information. The members receive a personal username and password to Extranet pages which contain practical instructions on trials, documents, and other material to be used in clinical practice. Moreover, the network increases cooperation between investigators both on a national and European level.
The members of FINPEDMED together form the FINPEDMED Investigators Register. From this register, FINPEDMED is able to look for experts for incoming Service Requests. The Investigators Register is closed and no information about it is disclosed to external parties. The official registrar is FINPEDMED / Helsinki University Hospital, Department of Children and Adolescents).
